Gastroenterology

The department of Gastroenterology is a highly advanced and full-fledged department which caters to all diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures like OGD, colonoscopy, duodenoscopy, ERCP,liver biopsy,upper and lower abdominal EUS and FNAC,  variceal sclero therapy, variceal banding, esophageal dilation, upper and lower gastro intestinal tract  polypectomies, biliary stenting, Sphincterotomy, CBD stone removal, biliary stricture dilatation and pancreatic stricture dilation.A video endoscopic system and an enteroscope to study the small intestine is also available in the department. A special liver clinic is conducted in the department every Saturdays. A state- of-the-art centrally air-conditioned 4 beds Liver Intensive Care Unit is also available to cater the needs of the patients.
