Ophthalmology

The Ophthalmology department has a well-equipped and dedicated surgical ophthalmology unit,  which joined hands with CBM Germany in 1974.The department,  is capable of taking up complex ophthalmic microsurgeries and offers comprehensive eye care services for the treatment of cataract,  Glaucoma and retinal diseases. The department started the Community Eye Care Project in 1995, to serve the community by providing preventive,  curative and rehabilitative services to the blind people in 24 Gram Panchayath in an around Kolenchery.
