Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology

The department started functioning as an independent unit from June 1993 and continues to be a pioneer in comprehensive cardiology services. A state-of- the-art centrally air-conditioned 6 beds Intensive Coronary Care Unit started functioning from March 1996. Permanent Pacemaker implants are also done regularly. The department has expanded its facility by offering international quality interventional cardiac procedures like coronary angiogram and angioplasty with stenting.
