Paediatric Surgery

This department continues to be one of the few centers in Kerala doing laparoscopic surgeries in children. The department deals with cases from acute emergencies to those which need critical evaluation. Elective surgeries like appendisectomy,  cholecystectomy, orchidopexy etc. are being routinely done only as laparoscopic procedures.

The department also does pneumatic reduction of intussusceptions using the C-Arm Image Intensifier, a non-invasive method of managing the babies conservatively.
